The Bunker Hill Inn 412 Bunker Hill Rd Salem, NY 12865 518-854-9339 | email Bed and Breakfast |
Laura Coldwell runs a nice B&B on the outskirts of Salem. In fact, it is so far out on the skirts of Salem that it really is in the Greenwich (for tax and school purposes), but in Salem for postal purposes. It really is only about four miles from beautiful downtown Salem - close enough to be convenient, and far enough to be bucolic. The 1840's Greek Revival farmhouse sits on 200 acres of land available for hiking. The home has four rooms and two baths upstairs and, in a pinch, a fifth room is available on the ground floor. A full breakfast is served at the side of the Home Comfort wood stove in the dining room overlooking the fields. |

The Griffen House 1668 County Route 64 Salem, NY 12816 518-854-7688 Rooms with Kitchenettes |
The Griffen House has three rooms with kitchenettes in set high on a hill just south of the village center. The hill allows all the rooms to have a great view back across the valley to the village and 15 miles beyond . The rooms are large and in some units the kitchenette verges on being a full kitchen. |

Salem Scenery Guests 572 Bunker Hill Road Salem, NY 12865 518-854-7862 | email Bed and Breakfast |
This B&B is a couple miles past the Bunker Hill Inn. Both places are in the Salem postal district, but Bunker Hill Road leaves Salem for Greenwich shortly before the Bunker Hill Inn and then crosses into Argyle just before the Salem Scenery B&B. For added confusion, the scenery in question is Mount Equinox in Vermont and it is a beautiful view across a large valley over waves of hills to Equinox. There are two rooms up a circular staircase that share a bath and a third room on the main floor with a private bath. A full breakfast is served on a table looking out at the great view. |
